Cherrydale VFD
After leaving the military, I always longed for a place to find camaraderie and to be part of something giving back to the community and its people. When I moved to northern Arlington, the perfect opportunity presented itself, Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD). For the past few years, I've been a volunteer firefighter with CVFD. Through my role, I've been able support the local community, train other firefighters, and also, as you can see below, get exclusive access to the department for the purpose of taking some photos.
The below set of photos is from CVFD's annual open house. Every year, the department opens its doors to the community during fire prevention week to educate others on fire safety and to strengthen the relationship between the department and those it seeks to aid.
